If taking multiple measurements, please allow 5 minutes
between measurements. This will allow your blood ves-
sels to return to their normal state.
If you have consumed beverages containing caffeine or
have smoked, please allow 30 - 45 minutes before taking
your measurement.
Do not place the cuff over a jacket
or sweater sleeve; it must be
wrapped around your exposed
upper arm.
Make sure the cuff plug is attached
to the monitor as shown on the
right side.
Keep in mind that blood pressure
naturally varies from time to time
throughout the day and is affected by many different fac-
tors, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, medication,
and physical activity.
