Changing Your PIN
New Code:
You can change the PIN that came with your SIM card
whenever you want.
Example: You wish to choose a code that is easier to
remember.
This change is only required if you prevent access to your
phone (see page 50).
Result:
If the PIN entered in

Steps 4 and 5 are ...
Identical • PIN Changed is displayed
• The phone switches to Standby mode
Different • Wrong Code is displayed
• The phone switches to Standby mode
You must now enter this PIN whenever you switch your phone on.

2 1. In Standby mode, press MENU to
enter the menu system.
Result: The first menu appears.
2. Press 6, 3 to access the PIN Code
sub-menu.
3. Enter the current PIN, then press

Result: New Code: is displayed.

Result: New Code Again:
appears.

5. Enter the new PIN again, then press

Preventing Access to Your Phone
You can require that the PIN supplied with your SIM
card be entered each time you switch your phone on.
Example: You want to prevent your phone from being
used if it is stolen.
1. In Standby mode, press MENU to
enter the menu system.
Result: The first menu appears.
2. Press 6, 2 to access the PIN
Access sub-menu.
3. Press „ or to select Enable or
Disable .
4. Press .
Result: Enter PIN: is displayed.
/ OK
5. Enter your current PIN, then press
.
Result:

PIN Enabled or PIN
Disabled is displayed
• From now on, you must enter your
PIN each time you switch the
phone on
