Chapter 4 Playing Discs
(DVP-NW50 only)
Various play mode functions
(Shuffle play, Repeat play)
Shuffle play
You can play back tracks in random order.
1 Press MODE on the CD display.
The Mode Menu appears.
2 Press the “SHUF” SELECT.
“SHUF” is highlighted.
3 Press N to start Shuffle play.
Shuffle Play starts.
Repeat play
1 Press MODE on the CD display.
The following display appears.
2 Press the A SELECT repeatedly.
Repeat play starts from the selected track.
Each time you press the button, the play mode
changes as shown below.
REP-OFF

About the playback range
Press “REP-OFF” (repeat off), “REP1” (repeat one), or “REP”
(repeat all) SELECT repeatedly on Mode Menu.
The playback range may be different depending on the play
mode.
SHUF (shuffle)
If you select

A single track repeatedly.
“REP”
All tracks on a disc play
repeatedly.

Playing a DVD/VCD/MP3
Disc
Depending on the disc used, some operations may be
different or restricted.
For details, refer to the instructions supplied with your
disc.

Turn on your TV.

Press X/1 (POWER).
The Unit turns on.

Switch the input selector on your TV so that the
signal from the Unit appears on the TV screen.

Press OPEN/CLOSE on the Unit, and place a disc on
the disc spindle firmly.

Press OPEN/CLOSE.
The door closes.

Press the “DVD” on the Home Menu.

Press N.
The Unit starts playback.
Adjust the volume on the Unit.
Depending on the disc, a menu may appear on the TV
screen, and playback may start automatically even if
you do not press N.

To stop playing the disc
Press x twice.
To resume playback from the point where you
stopped the disc
1 Press x during playback.
2 Press N.
The Unit starts playback from the point where you
stopped the disc in step 1.
