Chapter 4 Playing Discs
(DVP-NW50 only)
Repeat play
1 Press MODE on the DVD display.
The following display appears.
2 Press the A SELECT repeatedly.
When playing a DVD
If you select Plays
“REP-OFF” All tracks on a disc once.
“REP-CHAP” A single chapter repeatedly.
“REP-TITL” A single title repeatedly.
“REP” All chapters on a disc
repeatedly.
When playing a MP3 file
If you select Plays
“REP-OFF” All MP3 files in the current
folder once.
“SINGLE” The current MP3 file once.
“REP1” The current MP3 file repeatedly.
“REP” All MP3 files in the current
folder repeatedly.
When playing a VIDEO CD (Ver. 1.1) without PBC functions
If you select Plays
“REP-OFF” All tracks on a disc once.
“REP1” A single track repeatedly.
“REP” All tracks on a disc repeatedly.
3 Press N to start Repeat Play.
Repeat Play starts.
Note
When you play a VIDEO CD (Ver. 2.0) with PBC functions,
repeat play does not work.
Using the DVD´s menu
A DVD is divided into long sections of a movie or a music
feature called “titles.”
When you play DVDs which contains several titles, you
can select the title using the TOP MENU on the remote.
When you play DVDs that allow you to select items such
as language for the sound and subtitles, select these items
using the MENU on the remote.

Press TOP MENU or MENU on the remote.
The disc menu appears on the TV screen.
The contents of the menu differ from disc to disc.

Press F/f on the remote to select the item you
want to play or change.
3 Press ENTER on the remote.
Playing VIDEO CDs with PBC functions
(VIDEO CD Ver. 2.0 or higher )
PBC (PlayBack Control) allows you to play VIDEO CDs
interactively by following the menu on the TV screen.
1 Press N.
If you insert a VIDEO CD (Ver.2.0 or higher), the
VIDEO CD starts playing with PBC functions.
The menu used by your selection appears.
2 Press the numeric buttons on the remote to select
the item number you want.

Press ENTER on the remote.
4 Follow the instructions on the menu for interactive
operations.
Refer to the instructions supplied with the disc, as the
operating procedure may differ, depending on the
VIDEO CD.
Note
Depending on the VIDEO CD, “Press ENTER on the remote” in
step 3 may appear as “Press SELECT” in the instructions
supplied with the disc, In this case, press N.
