Chapter 4 Playing Discs

5 To confirm your password, re-enter the new 4-digit

password using the numeric buttons on the remote.
If you make a mistake entering your password,
re-enter your correct password.

6 Press ENTER on the remote.

Tip

If you forget your password, or the first time you change the
password, enter the 4-digit number “9703” as old password using
the numeric buttons.

Notes

• When you play discs which have the parental control function,

playback of the disc is limited on the Unit.

• Depending on the disc, you may be asked to enter your

password when playback starts. In this case, enter the
password.

By using the Setup Display, you can make various
adjustments to items such as picture and sound. You can
also set a language for the subtitles and the Setup Display.
For details on each Setup Display item, see pages from 28
to 30.

Setting the display (General Setup)

Choose settings according to the TV to be connected.

Press DVD SETUP on the remote when the Unit is in
stop mode.
The Setting Menu appears.

Press G/g to select

(General Setup,) then press

ENTER or f on the remote.
The options for “General Setup” appear.

Press F/f to select an option, then press ENTER on
the remote.
The options for the selected item appear.

Press F/f to select an item, then press ENTER on
the remote.

TV Type

Select the color system of the TV to be connected.
The setup may be different in depending on regions or
countries.
The default setting is underlined.

NTSC

Outputs the NTSC color system.

PAL

Outputs the PAL color system.

AUTO

Outputs the color system that is recorded
on the disc.
