The CDP-NW10/DVP-NW50 (referred to as the Unit in
this manual) is a home audio component system based
on network connections. A Unit is installed into the wall
of a room and connected to other Units using an Ethernet
connection (100Base-TX.)
The system consists of:

– Up to 12 Units (CDP-NW10 or DVP-NW50)
– A personal computer (if necessary)
– Audio output components, such as a CD Changer
– A monitor or a projector (DVP-NW50)
– Two speakers (2CH) (CDP-NW10)/Five speakers

and a sub woofer (5.1CH) (DVP-NW50)

The main features of the Unit are the following:

• Two types of conventional CD player model and a DVD player

model with a simple timer clock and 2ch audio input

• The Unit can play back MP3-format audio files stored on a

computer via a network (An exclusive application of PC is
needed)

• The Unit can play back CDs mounted in other Units via a

network

• The Unit can play back the audio contents in all the rooms

simultaneously from the following sources (Party mode)

– CDs in any Units
– MP3 discs (DVP-NW50 only) and LINE IN in the

lead operating Unit

– FM or AM tuner
– MP3-format audio files stored on a computer (a

Playlist feature in the Unit is available)

• INTERCOM and MONITOR functions via a network

• 2ch to 5.1ch sound produced from connected speakers for

DVP-NW50, or 2ch sound produced from connected speakers
for CDP-NW10
