Manual Pause Dialing

1. From Standby mode, enter the phone number of the service

by pressing the digit keys.

2. Press

to enter a pause. The letter “p” displays in the

number, meaning that a pause will occur at that point in the
dialing sequence.

3. Press the digit keys to enter the number that you want to send

as DTMF after the pause.

4. Press

. The phone number is connected.

5. When prompted by the service for the number (credit card

number, bank account number, etc) press

again to

send the DTMF number. “SENDING DTMF” flashes on the
screen.

Pause Dialing

ause Dialing enables you to send numbers as DTMF (Dual-tone

ulti-frequency) signals after placing a call. This feature saves time

when using your tele-services such as bank account inquiries, credit

ard inquires, etc.

here are two pause dialing methods; pause dialing from a stored
hone book entry and manual pause dialing.

Pause Dialing from a Stored Phone Book Entry

1. If you have already stored the number with pauses, then go

ahead to step 2. If you need to store a number in your Phone
Book which contains pauses, do this:

a. Enter the number to first connect to (such as the bank’s

tele-service phone number).

b. Press the

button to enter a pause. The letter “p”

displays in the number, meaning that a pause will occur at
that point in the dialing sequence. Enter the DTMF
number (such as your account number).

c. Store the number as you normally would by pressing

the

key and entering a name.

2. Dial the number from your phone book in the normal method

you prefer.

3. When the phone number is connected, you will be prompted

by the service for the number (credit card number, bank
account number, etc). Press

again to send the DTMF

number. “SENDING DTMF” flashes on the screen.
