MS – (Short Message Services) The variety of messaging services

available on the Samsung 2500 Series Phone, including voice
mail notification (VMN), numeric paging and text messaging.

tandby Time - The amount of time a fully charged wireless

portable or transportable phone can be on and idle without
being in use. (See Talk Time.)

alk Time - The length of time a person can talk on a portable or

transportable wireless phone without recharging the battery.

RI-Mode - A phone that will operate in three modes: CDMA 1900,

CDMA 800 and AMPS 800. The SCH-2500 Series phone has this
capability.

MN - Voice Mail Notification.A kind of SMS message that informs

the user that he/she has voicemail(s).

ocoder - Voice Coder.A device used to convert speech into digital

signals.

oice Mail - A computerized answering service that answers a call,

plays a greeting and records a message. Depending on the
sophistication of the service, it can notify the subscriber, via a
pager, of an incoming call or message. (Also called voice
messaging.)

ireless - Radio-based systems that allow transmission of tele

phone or data signals through the air without a physical con
nection, such as a metal wire (copper) or fiber optic cable.
