Lock Code Setting

The default lock code for your Samsung 2500 Series Phone is 0000
or the last four digits of your phone number, depending on how
your phone was activated.You can change the lock code as often as
you like.

To change your lock code:

1. Press

to display the Main Menu.

2. Press

for Security and enter your current lock code.

3. Press

for Lock Code.The current lock code displays.

4. Enter a new, four-digit lock code by pressing the digit keys.

5. Press

to save the new lock code or

to exit.

Note: Your phone does not allow viewing of the lock code under
any circumstance (except as just explained above). So, if you change
the lock code, be sure to jot down the new code and keep it for
your reference. If for some reason, you are unable to unlock the
phone (like maybe you forgot your lock code), call Samsung
Customer Care (rather than have some whiz-kid try to unlock it for
you) and we’ll work you through it. Our Customer Care number is
1.888.987.HELP.

Your Samsung 2500 Series Phone provides many security options,

cluding a user-programmable lock code, keypad lock, and call

estriction features.To access the Security menu in Standby mode,

n addition to the above six security options, your phone has

ermanently stored emergency numbers which are explained in

Emergency and Special Numbers” on page 74.

Lock Mode

ocking the phone restricts outgoing calls, except to the three

ard-coded emergency numbers (911, *911, and #911), and three
ser-programmable special numbers.

You can lock the phone manually during use, or set the phone to

ck automatically at power-on. When the phone is in Lock mode,

ou can answer incoming calls, but to place outgoing calls you must
nter the lock code (except if you are dialing an emergency or

pecial number).
