5. If the adapter is on the riser card, remove the riser-card assembly from the
server (see “Removing the riser-card assembly” on page 32).

6. Disconnect any cables from the adapter.
7. Carefully grasp the adapter by its top edge or upper corners, and pull the
adapter from the PCI slot.
8. If you have other optional devices to install or remove, do so now. Otherwise,
go to “Completing the installation” on page 74.
