When

is displayed, it is time to add toner.

Important
❒ If you use toner other than that recommended, an error might occur.
❒ When adding toner, do not turn off the operation switch. If you do, your set-
tings will be cleared and
D
will appear again because the machine will not
recognize that toner has been added.
❒ Always add toner after the machine instructs you to add toner.
❒ Do not use used toner. This will damage the machine.

❒ You can still make about 50 copies after
D
appears, but replace the toner ear-
ly to prevent poor copy quality.

Do not incinerate used toner or toner containers. Toner dust might ig-
nite when exposed to an open flame. Dispose of used toner containers
in accordance with local regulations for plastics.

Keep toner (used or unused) and toner containers out of reach of children.

• 1: Open the front cover of the machine.
• 2: Lift the green lever.
• 3: Push the green lever, and then gently
pull out the holder.
