Overview

About the system

You can use the digital Music/Photo/Movie card
reader built into the DVD recorder to display on the
screen images from digital cameras with the most
common memory cards.
MP3/WMA audio fi les can also be played. You can
create and play a programme list consisting of a
selection of MP3/WMA titles.
Movies in DivX format can be played (see page 35).
You use the Loewe DVD recorder‘s remote control to
operate the Music/Photo/Movie card reader.

When the memory card is inserted, you can use the
CARD

button to switch to using the Music/

Photo/Movie card reader. Then a list of the pictures,
movies or audio fi les stored on the card appears
depending on the content of the memory card.

If there are over 9 images stored, you can use

or

to go to other pages of the

overview.

You can manually mark and view an image, and
switch to the next or previous image.

You can rotate images that were taken in portrait
mode, or that need to be turned upside-down.

The Slide show function can be used to automati-
cally move on to the next image. You can use the
menu to specify how quickly the images should be
changed (see page 39).

DivX, MP3/WMA or JPEG fi les can be copied from
a data CD/DVD to a memory card with enough free
storage space, so that they can be played on, e.g.,
portable playback devices (see page 38).

Conversely, you can copy fi les from a memory card
to a data DVD with suffi cient disk space.

Data/memory card compatibility

The images stored on the card must be in the
JPEG baseline DCF format. Other formats are not
displayed and are shown black in the list. There is a
maximum of 5 Megapixels. For further details about
JPEG fi les, refer to page 39.
MP3/WMA fi les are played at 32 - 320 kBps bit
rates and at variable bit rates.
You will fi nd information about the compatibility of
movie fi les on page 35.
The memory card must be formatted in format FAT
12, 16 or 32. Memory cards with other formats
cannot be read.

When activating the audio/photo card reader,
the DVD recorder should be idle, with no ad-
ditional screen displays (no menu or Picture In
Picture display).
Take care with the card‘s polarity / tag (see

diagram above).
Keep memory cards out of reach of children. If
swallowed, a doctor is required immediately.
Cards should not be touched with electrical
contacts, or the memory may be damaged.
Only one card at a time may be plugged into the
right hand memory card slot.
Memory cards cannot be formatted by Centros.
The reading time of the memory card depends
on the number of fi les, the fi le size or resolution.
If a folder on the memory card contains more
than 645 fi les, not all the fi les can be played.
The card in the right hand slot has priority when
cards are inserted in both memory card slots. To
activate the card in the left hand memory slot,
remove the card from the right hand slot.
