Symptom

Checkpoints

Record
The playback time is longer

than the recording time.

• Depending on the combination of recording settings (➜ page 8),

the playback time may be approx. 1 or 2 seconds longer than the

recording time.

Cannot set timer recording.

• The timer covers 24 hours from the present time only.

• Recording periods that are 8 hours or longer cannot be set using the timer.

• Set the time before setting the timer recording (➜ page 7).

• Timer recording periods of less than 1 minute are unavailable.

Timer recording does not

work.

• The settings are cancelled if the battery is removed and the clock settings are cleared.

• Timer recording does not work if the unit is used for playback or

another operation at a set time.

• Timer recording setting is cancelled once timer recording is

performed. Set the timer again when necessary.

Files created through timer

recording are shorter than

periods set with the timer.

• VAS may be “ ” (➜ page 17).

Playing
Cannot play the recorded file

though it was recorded on

this unit.

• The file name was changed. Only files named according to the file

naming rules (➜ page 30) can be played in folder A through D.

Playback speed is too fast or

slow.

• You changed the playback speed (➜ page 18).

The order of playing changed

after reloading files that

were once imported to the

computer to this unit.

• This occurs because files imported from the computer are placed at

the end in the folder.
