Scan device changes

a) The Pioneer badge need no longer be removed during installation.

¶ In this manual, the frame of the handwriting device that houses the sensor is referred to as a scan device.

b) Instead of a 3 m RS-232C cable, a 1.4 m hard-wired USB cable is supplied.

1. The cable exit has been modified.

¶ An RS-232C connector is no longer provided.
¶ The absence of connectors on the rear panel makes it possible to use fittings for installation on sloping surfaces.

2. Power is supplied through USB bus power.

¶ The scan device is not provided with a power switch or a DC connector.
¶ An AC adapter and a power cable are not provided.
¶ Power consumption has been reduced from 6 V, 1 A to 5 V, 0.5 A (max.).

1. The front panel has a rounded appearance while the side panels have a two-tone finish in silver and black.

¶ The vertical and horizontal dimensions are the same.
¶ The silver finish is somewhat brighter than in the previous model.
