Error Messages
Display message Cause & solution
● The document is jammed. Remove the jammed document (p. 74).
● Attempted to transmit a document longer than 600 mm. Press
to remove the document. Divide the document into two
or more sheets and try again.
STOP
REMOVE DOCUMENT
● Recording paper is not installed or the unit has run out of paper.
Install paper (p. 17).
● Recording paper is not fed into the unit properly. Reinstall paper
(p. 17).
OUT OF PAPER
● The other party’s fax machine is busy or has run out of recording
paper. Try again.
NO FAX REPLY
● A recording paper jam occurred. Clear the jammed paper (p. 72).
PAPER JAMMED
● The unit is warming up. Wait until the message clears.
PLEASE WAIT
● The other party’s fax machine is busy or has run out of recording
paper. Try again.
REDIAL TIME OUT
● The other party’s fax machine does not provide the polling
function. Check with the other party.
POLLING ERROR
● The toner cartridge is empty. Replace the toner cartridge (p. 70).
TONER EMPTY
● A transmission error occurred. Try again.
TRANSMIT ERROR
● The remaining toner is low. Replace the toner cartridge as soon
as possible (p. 70). We recommend you replace the drum unit
every third time you replace the toner cartridge. To check the
drum life and quality, please print the printer test list (p. 78).
TONER LOW
● The unit printed on paper which is shorter than A4 size paper. To
prevent the drum unit from becoming dirty, use A4 size paper.
