Using the Polycom CX5000 as a Conference Phone

If the Polycom CX5000 device is not connected to your computer, it still works as a standard
conference telephone. This section describes how you can use the Polycom CX5000 device to send
and receive phone calls and conference calls. This section covers only the audio functions for the
Polycom CX5000 device and does not require the installation of Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007
or Microsoft Office Communicator 2007.

Adjusting the ringer and speaker volume

The Volume Up

and the Volume Down buttons control ringer and speaker volume. What the

buttons control depends on the state of the device. The volume levels that you set are retained from
one meeting to the next until you change them. Table 1 below summarizes the modes for volume
settings.
