Message Parameters

From Idle mode press

B 316 to enter the Parameters menu. The

following parameters can be set:

Auto Delete

When set will erase messages automatically:

Received Read - will overwrite the oldest read message

Received Any - will overwrite the oldest message even though it may not have been
read.

Lifetime

This is the duration that your message is stored at the Message Centre. Delivery
attempts will be repeated until the message has been delivered or the Lifetime
expires.

Message Centre

Allows the Message Centre phone number to be edited - see “Setting the Phone for
Short Text Messages” page 27.

Report

When your message has been delivered a confirmation will be received if Report is
set to Yes.

Protocol

The Message Centre may be able to convert the message to the format specified by
the selected protocol.

Cell Broadcasts

Cell broadcasts are general information that is sent to your phone by a network
operator. The information can include topics like local traffic reports, weather etc.

Setting Broadcast Topics

You need to specify the topic(s) of information that you wish to receive as broadcasts
before you can receive them.

e to cycle through the available topics and press B to insert the currently

displayed topic into your broadcast list
