Pioneer introduces the S-LX70 Speaker Series that inherits the design
philosophy of the EX Series speakers on the leading edge of Pioneer’s
70-year history of acoustic technology. Incorporating technology including
a high performance shallow woofer unit and a wave guide tweeter,
this series creates beautifully realistic surround sound to match
the superb video of Pioneer full high definition plasma televisions.
500W (peak) S-LX70W subwoofer produces
heavy bass sound.
Phase Control design achieves spectacular
improvement of multi-channel sound quality.
By precisely directing the sound, the
wave guide eliminates sound diffraction
f r o m t h e p l a s m a d i s p l a y p a n e l , a n d
widens the listening area. The S-LX70-LR
provides stabilised sound localisation
that keeps the dialogue centred, even
when the listening location is shifted to
the left or right.
These thin speakers feature sound and
design that both perfectly complement
Pioneer plasma televisions. The EX Series
d e s i g n t e a m , c o m p o s e d o f s p e a k e r
technicians from Japan and Europe,
developed the extruded-aluminium cabinet
and the high-performance woofer. The
exterior design has a luxurious glossy
black finish that will look beautiful in
any interior.

The 13cm high performance woofer unit benefits from some of
the same technology used for the luxury EX Series speakers.
Only 58mm in depth, it features a diaphragm with a three-layer
s t r u c t u r e o f w o v e n a n d n o n - w o v e n
carbon fibres, a corrugated edge made of
foam polycarbonate urethane material,
and a large diameter 48mm voice coil for
exceptional power handling capacity. It is
capable of reproducing powerful bass
that far exceeds the normal expectations
for a thin speaker.
