Our Blu-ray Disc Player doesn’t compromise a thing when it comes to

high-definition picture and audio.

Engineered for the ultimate video quality (1080p/24fps) and

lossless sound via the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats,

your entire HD experience is not only just as the director intended it to be,

it’s also the ultimate way you can enjoy movies in high definition.

Conveying emotion: itÕs a matter of timing.
The standard film format of movies is 24 frames per
second. The ideas and aims of the director are embedded
into the movie according to this timing. If the video signal is
converted to an unsynchronised 60fps, the timing will be
slightly off, and the conveying of subtle emotions will
suffer. With 1080p/24fps, Pioneer makes every emotion as
clear as the director intended it to be.

Enjoy movie images and sound just as they were mastered.

Conventional Blu-ray Disc players deliver video signals at 60 frames per second (fps), rather than at the 24fps at which they are
filmed. This means you don’t see movies at their original level of quality. What’s more, ordinary DVD players cannot exactly
reproduce the original audio signals, either. To overcome these limitations, Pioneer has provided the BDP-LX70A with 1080p/24fps
video and Lossless Sound audio capabilities, enabling you to enjoy movie images and sound just as they were mastered in the studio.

Design and operation perfectly matched to other LX Series components.

Direct video output at 1080p/24fps

gives you the film as it was meant to be seen.

This high quality signal output lets you view the original video
quality as it was mastered in the studio. You can appreciate the
actual intentions of the director and cinematographer: the
delicate atmosphere of a dream-like scene, for example.

Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio deliver sound that is
bit-for-bit identical to the studio master, which is why it is
called “lossless sound.” What you hear is completely
faithful to the original sound. With its ability to output the
Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bit streams via HDMI,
the BDP-LX70A lets you experience the full potential of the
Blu-Ray Disc format. It is also compatible with DTS-HD High
Resolusion Audio* (via HDMI), Dolby Digital Plus (via HDMI),
Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround, so you can enjoy all
the high quality movie sound formats.

Finest parts and stable construction

help ensure high quality reproduction.

To ensure high precision reading of a vast quantity of data – five times greater
than on a conventional DVD – the BDP-LX70A employs a Pioneer-developed
pickup. Every part is selected for maximum picture and sound quality,
including Burr-Brown DACs for noise-free analogue output and machined
gold-plated terminals. In addition, the chassis has a highly rigid double-layer
construction for superior vibration damping.
