OPERATION

Pre-Operation Inspection

Steering

Check the handlebars
for free movement
throughout their full
range. Make sure the
jet pump outlet nozzle
changes direction as
the handlebars are
turned from left to
right and vice versa.

Be sure the handlebars and handlebar grips fit snuggly.
Visually inspect the control cable to ensure that it’s in
working condition.

Throttle

Always check throttle
operation prior to
starting the engine.

Pull or squeeze the
throttle several times to
be sure the throttle lever
moves freely through its full range. It should spring
back to its original position when released.

Engine and Storage Compartments

If the craft is operated in salt water, spray the inside of
the hull (engine and components) with waterproof
lubricant spray after every use. See page 101 for part
numbers of Polaris products.

The engine compartment is located beneath the seat.

Be sure the seat, engine cover and front compartment
door are properly positioned and securely latched
before operating the watercraft.
