English

Resuming playback from a specific position (last memory) - DVDs and video CDs

The last memory function can be used to resume playback from the desired
position.

Storing the position from which playback

is to be resumed

1

Press the LAST MEMORY

button during playback.

“Last Memory” appears on the display.

2

Press the power button to turn

off the power or press the
STOP button.

Hint:
Unlike the resume function, with the last memory
function the position remains in the memory even
after the disc is removed. Last memory positions
can be set for up to five DVDs.

Resuming playback from the last memory position

1

Load the disc for which the last

memory position is stored.

With some DVDs, playback starts

automatically when the disc is loaded. In this
case, press the STOP button to stop playback.

2

In the stop mode, press the

LAST MEMORY button.

Clearing the last memory position

Perform the procedure under “Resuming
playback from the last memory position”
above, then in step

2 press the CLEAR button

while “Last Memory” is displayed. “Last
Memory” turns off and the last memory
position is cleared from the memory.

Notes:
• With DVDs, this function may not work

with some discs.

• With DVDs, when you store the last

memory position for a sixth disc, the
oldest position in the memory (the first
one stored) is overwritten.

• With video CDs, the last memory position

can only be stored for one disc, and the
position is cleared from the memory
when the disc is removed
.

• With video CDs, the last memory function

may not work when playing the disc with
playback control. If this happens, play the
disc without displaying the menus.
