Using the Remote Control

Controlling an Auxiliary Component

The remote that came packed with your VCR is also capable of controlling one compatible RCA auxiliary
component, such as an AM/FM radio, CD player, tape players, phonograph, satellite receiver, or DVD. The
remote must be programmed for the specific component it is to control. To program the remote, use the code
that corresponds to your component.

Program the Remote for an Auxiliary Component

. Turn on the component.

. Point the VCR remote at the component.

. Hold the

AUX

button and press three number buttons to enter the code for your

component.

. Release the buttons.

Press

PWR

on the remote. If the component turns off, setup is complete.

Operate the Auxiliary Component

After you have set up your remote to control your component, test the buttons
to see which ones operate the component.
