Symptom
Cannot playback.
The contents of memory card
cannot be replayed.
Files cannot be deleted.
Cannot format a memory card.
Cause
The camera is not set to playback mode.
You played back a memory card that
was not formatted by this camera.

The memory card is write-protected.

Solution
Toggle the MODE button to playback
mode.

Symptom
Cannot load the memory card.
Even the camera’s button is
pressed, it does not operate.
The date and time are wrong.
Cause
The card is loaded in wrong orientation.
The battery is running low.
Camera malfunction.
The correct date and time are not set.
Solution
Load it correctly.
Recharge or use the AC adapter.
Turn the power off and remove and
reload the battery, and then try again.
Set the correct date and time.
Other Problems
Symptom
Cannot download images.
Cause
The free space in your computer’s
hard disk may be insufficient.
The USB driver is not installed (for
Windows 98/98SE).
Solution
Check whether the hard disk has a
space for running Windows, and if the
drive for loading image files has
enough capacity.
Install the USB driver.
