ADD TO PLAY LIST button [xx]

Press to add the current track to the play list.

SELECT button [xx]

Select the track using / buttons.

Alphabetic letters/Symbols/Numeric (1 to 10)
buttons [xx]

Numeric: Press to select the track you want to play.

Alphabetic letters/SYMBOL/Numeric: Press to enter the name
of the disk, artist or track.

CLEAR: Press to cancel the letter.

ENTER: Press to enter and confirm the letter while editing the
disc, artist, or track names.

TEXT: Press to enable editing the disc, artists, or track names.

The numbers within the brackets are the pages where the part or function is introduced.

FAVORITE IT button [xx]

Press to mark the current track as your favorite. Press again to
unmark the track.

FAVORITE MODE button [xx]

Press to turn the favorite mode on and off. In the favorite mode,
only the tracks marked as your favorite are played.

Genre buttons [xx]

Press to select the genre for playing the tracks registered with
respective genres.

Analog input/output terminals (ANALOG) [xx]

Connect the analog devices such as tuner or cassette deck, and the
analog output from the digital devices such as CD player and others.

Digital input terminals (DIGITAL INPUT) [xx]

Connect the digital output from the digital devices such as CD
player, DVD player, MD player and others. Optical (OPTICAL)
and coaxial (COAXIAL) terminals are available.

Connect the Onkyo products equipped with the

terminals.

Digital output terminal (DIGITAL OUTPUT) [xx]

Connects the digital output from the MB-S1 to the digital input
terminals on the digital recording devices such as MD recorder, CD
recorder and DAT deck.
Under the SCMS and SDMI Water Mark* copyright protection
system, the output signal is limited to the AUDIO-CD signal from
the CD-ROM played or the audio signal of MP3 data recorded on
CD-ROM.

Note
The audio signal recorded on the MB-S1's hard disk drive is not
output digitally.

* SCMS and SDMI are a copy guard system for protecting

copyright. See page 17 for details.
