• If the CHARGE/TALK indicator

does not light when you place the
handset on the base, be sure the
battery is connected to the pins
inside the battery compartment
(see "Replacing the Battery") and
the AC adapter is securely con-
nected to the base.

Also, check the charging contacts
on the handset and base. If the
contacts are dirty or tarnished,
gently clean them with a pencil
eraser.

• About once a month, fully dis-

charge the battery by keeping the
handset off the base until LOW
BATT flashes. Then return the
handset to the base and recharge
the battery for 15 hours.
