IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Hand over the instructions to any new user.
• Do not operate the window until the installation is complet-

ed in accordance with the instructions.

• This product has been designed for use with other genuine

VELUX products. Connection to other products may cause
damage or malfunction.

• Disconnect from mains supply before carrying out any

maintenance (including cleaning of pane) or service work
and ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally
during this time.

• Important: Set your personal security code. It is recommend-

ed to change the security code from time to time.

• Do not leave the operation of this window to unsupervised

children under any circumstances.

• Ensure that the window can be and is operated without risk

of injury to people or animals. If the window is placed
within reach, the manual mode (MAN) is recommended,
where the motor will run only as long as the button is
pressed.

• Where there is a risk of personal injury, eg in children's

rooms, the switches should be set in position “MAN”.

• If the ● (stop) function is activated while the rain sensor is

wet, the window will automatically close within about one
minute. If required, the window may be operated manually.

• If the operation mode is set to automatic (AUTO) or the rain

sensor is wet, the motor will not stop until the window is
fully closed unless the ● (stop) function is activated.

• If the rain sensor gets wet, the window operator automatic-

ally closes the window. For personal safety, never have
your hand or body out of the window without switching off
the power.

• After the rain sensor has been activated, it takes about 15

seconds before the window operator starts closing the
window.

• When the window is fully open, it takes up to one minute

before the window is completely closed. Therefore, during
heavy rain, water may enter the room during this time.

• The rain sensor has a heating element, which keeps the

surface dry. Therefore, the rain sensor does not always
react to very fine/weak rain, fog or dew.

• If the window is opened while the rain sensor is still wet, it

will automatically close again within about one minute.

• It is recommended that VELUX service engineers carry out

any repair work to the window or VELUX electrical com-
ponents.
