7. BH-2 Bluetooth ® HEAD SET OPERATION
The optional BH-2 Bluetooth ® Head Set can communicate your voice and
receiving signal to/from the HX760S, with the Bluetooth ® technology.
7.1 PAIRING
Before you use your BH-2 for the first time, the BH-2 and the HX760S must be
paired.
1. Make sure that the BH-2 and HX760S is both off.
2. Hold down the HX760S’s [SQL] key, and then turn on
the transceiver while still holding down the [SQL] key to
activate the Menu (“Set”) Mode. “SEt
SEt SEt SEt SEt ” will appear on the
display.
3. Press the [SQL] key to select the Menu item “14 bt 14 bt 14 bt 14 bt 14 bt ”.
4. Press the [T] or [S] key to select desired Operation Mode
of the BH-2 (except “oFF oFF oFF oFF oFF ”).
Ptt Ptt Ptt Ptt Ptt : Activates the Bluetooth ® function without the Bat-
tery Save and VOX features.
PttSV PttSV PttSV PttSV PttSV : Activates the BH-2 with the Battery Save feature.
If there has been no signal or key activity for 20
seconds, the Battery Saver automatically puts the
BH-2 to “sleep”, to conserve battery life. When signal is received or
the PTT switch is pressed, the BH-2 will be active again.
Furthermore, if there has been no signal or key activity for 10 min-
utes, turns the BH-2 off automatically.
Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi : Activates the BH-2 with the VOX feature (VOX gain: High).
Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo : Activates the BH-2 with the VOX feature (VOX gain: Low).
oFF oFF oFF oFF oFF : Disable the BH-2.
Note: When pairing, select “Ptt Ptt Ptt Ptt Ptt ”, “PttSV PttSV PttSV PttSV PttSV ”, “Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi ” or “Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo ”. If “oFF oFF oFF oFF oFF ” is selected, it
is impossible to so pairing, because the Bluetooth ® function is not active.
5. Press the [SQL] key.
6. Press the [SQL] key again to select the Menu item
“15 Pin 15 Pin 15 Pin 15 Pin 15 Pin ”.
7. Press and hold the [MEM] key until “PAr PAr PAr PAr PAr ” appears.
8. Press and hold the POWER switch of the BH-2
until the LED indicator blinks red/blue alternately (approxi-
mately five seconds).
9. When the BH-2 is correctly recognized (requires a 20 to
30 seconds) by the HX760S, the LED indicator of the
BH-2 will blink blue and “SUCCESS
SUCCESS SUCCESS SUCCESS SUCCESS ” notation will appear
on the display of the HX760S for few seconds.
