Changing the insert location of the in-
sert effect
When the project is in its initial state, the insert effect is sent
into the input mixer. However, you may change the insert
location as necessary. The procedure is as follows.
1.
From the main screen, press the [INPUT SOURCE]
key in the effect section.
The currently selected insert location appears on the display.
The following positions are available.
● IN
Input mixer (default setting)
● DRUM
Drum sound output
● BASS
Bass sound output
● TR1 - TR8
Track 1 - 8 output
● TR1/2, TR3/4, TR5/6, TR7/8, TR9/10
Track 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, or 9/10 output
● MASTER
Immediately before [MASTER] fader

Turn the dial to select the insert position.
N OTE
• While the above display is shown, you can select the insert
position by pressing the [ON/OFF] keys or status keys in
the input section. To select the track pairs 1/2, 3/4, 5/6,
and 7/8, or to select two tracks in 6TR REC mode, press
two status keys simultaneously.
• In 6TR REC mode, you can also activate two status keys
which are not adjacent.
3.
When the insert position has been selected, press
the [EXIT] key.
The unit returns to the main screen.

When the insert effect is placed in a position other than the
input mixer, the [INPUT SOURCE] will be lit at the main
screen.
Selecting the patch for the insert ef-
fect
This section explains how to select the patch for the insert
effect.
1.
Press the [EFFECT] key in the display section.
The key lights up, and the display indicates the patch
selected for the most recent effect operation (insert effect or
send/return effect).
If the most recent operation step was for the insert effect, the
indication “INSERT” is shown on the first line of the display.
If the most recent step was for the send/return effect, the
indication “SEND REV” or “SEND CHO” is shown on the
first line of the display.

Select the desired algorithm by pressing the
respective [ALGORITHM] key in the effect section.
To select a patch for the insert effect, start by selecting the
algorithm. When you press an [ALGORITHM] key, the
patches comprised in that algorithm are shown on the
display.
