6.1 Introduction

Unix LP D ( Line Pr inter Dae mon) protoc ol. The LP D
pr otocol or iginated with Un ix r e leas e is base d on the BSD
ve rs ion of Unix a nd s upported under most ver s ions of Unix.

To conf igure t he pr int s erve r f or LP D pr inting, per for m

1. Enable Pr int Ser ver ’s TCP/IP Suppor t.
2. Se t up Print Ser ver ’s IP addr ess.
3. Ve r if y Pr int Se r ver ’s IP Ad dres s.
4. Conf igure re mote LP D pr inting on the host.
5. Print a test pa ge.
