Field of application
Eye shield that protects against flying particles, for work at height and outdoor work.

The VIZIR protects against high speed flying particles (average impact
energy B = 120 m/s).
It is compatible with the VERTEX (2011 version) and ALVEO helmets.
This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose
other than that for which it is designed (for example, electrical shock and/or molten
metal splash hazards).
Mounting the eye shield
Use the eye shield mounting holes found on the VERTEX (2011 version) and ALVEO
helmets.
Do not drill the helmet.
Attach one side of the eye shield and then the other. Use the mounting screws
supplied with the eye shield.

Information regarding standards
- Warning: skin contact with the materials in this product can cause an allergic
reaction in sensitive individuals.
- Warning: replace your eye shield if it is scratched or damaged.
- WARNING: if you wear the VIZIR eye shield over prescription eyeglasses with
temples, impacts against the eye shield (for example from high speed flying particles)
can be dangerous to the wearer.
- This eye shield does not protect against high-speed flying particles at extreme
temperatures. To protect yourself against extreme-temperature flying particles, use an
eye protector marked with the letter T, for example FT, BT, or AT.
Cleaning, disinfection
Cleaning the VIZIR with water can damage the anti-scratch and anti-fog surface
treatments. Clean the VIZIR using the A13 anti-fog kit.
Do not use an abrasive cloth or product.
Storage, transport
Put your eye shield in storage position on your helmet.
Store the product in a dry place away from exposure to UV, chemicals, extreme
temperatures, etc.. Clean and dry the product if necessary.
Modifications, repairs
Modifications and repairs outside of Petzl facilities are prohibited (except replacement
parts).
Lifetime / When to retire your equipment
For Petzl’s plastic and textile products, the maximum lifetime is 10 years from the
date of manufacture. It is indefinite for metallic products.
WARNING: an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after only one use,
depending on the type and intensity of usage and the environment of usage (harsh
environments, marine environment, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, chemical
products, etc.).
A product must be retired when:
- It is over 10 years old and made of plastic or textiles.
- It has been subjected to a major fall (or load).
- It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
- You do not know its full usage history.
- When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique or
incompatibility with other equipment, etc..
Destroy retired equipment to prevent further use.
3-year guarantee
Against all material or manufacturing defect. Exclusions: normal wear and tear,
oxidation, modifications or alterations, incorrect storage, poor maintenance,
negligence, uses for which this product is not designed.
Responsibility
Petzl is not responsible for the consequences, direct, indirect or accidental, or any
other type of damage befalling or resulting from the use of its products.

Montage de la visière
Utilisez les trous de fixation de la visière prévus sur les casques VERTEX version
2011 et ALVEO.
Ne percez pas votre casque.
Fixez un côté de la visière puis l’autre. Utilisez les vis de fixation fournies avec la
visière.

Informations normatives
- Attention, les matériaux, qui entrent en contact avec la peau du porteur, peuvent
engendrer des allergies chez les individus sensibles.
- Attention, remplacez votre visière si elle est rayée ou endommagée.
- Attention, une visière de protection contre les projections de particules lancées à
grande vitesse, portée sur des lunettes à branches ophtalmiques classiques, peut
provoquer des chocs occasionnant un danger pour l’utilisateur.
- Cette visière ne protège pas contre la projection de particules lancées à grande
vitesse à des températures extrêmes. Pour vous protéger contre les particules
lancées à grande vitesse à des températures extrêmes, il convient de choisir un
protecteur de l’œil marqué de la lettre T, par exemple FT, BT ou AT.
Nettoyage, désinfection
Nettoyer la VIZIR à l’eau peut détériorer le traitement de surface antirayures et
antibuée. Nettoyez la VIZIR grâce au kit antibuée A13.
N’utilisez pas de produit ou chiffon abrasif.
Stockage, transport
Placez votre visière en position de rangement sur votre casque.
Stockez le produit au sec, à l’abri des UV, produits chimiques, dans un endroit
tempéré, etc.. Nettoyez et séchez le produit si nécessaire.
Modifications, réparations
Les modifications et réparations sont interdites hors des ateliers de Petzl (sauf pièces
de rechange).
Durée de vie / Mise au rebut
Pour les produits Petzl, plastiques et textiles, la durée de vie maximale est de 10 ans
à partir de la date de fabrication. Elle n’est pas limitée pour les produits métalliques.
ATTENTION, un événement exceptionnel peut vous conduire à rebuter un
produit après une seule utilisation (type et intensité d’utilisation, environnement
d’utilisation : milieux agressifs, milieu marin, arêtes coupantes, températures
extrêmes, produits chimiques, etc.).
Un produit doit être rebuté quand :
- Il a plus de 10 ans et est composé de plastique ou textile.
- Il a subi une chute importante (ou effort).
- Le résultat des vérifications du produit n’est pas satisfaisant. Vous avez un doute
sur sa fiabilité.
- Vous ne connaissez pas son historique complet d’utilisation.
- Quand son usage est obsolète (évolution législative, normative, technique ou
incompatibilité avec d’autres équipements, etc.).
Détruisez ces produits pour éviter une future utilisation.
Garantie 3 ans
Contre tout défaut de matière ou fabrication. Sont exclus : usure normale, oxydation,
modifications ou retouches, mauvais stockage, mauvais entretien, négligences,
utilisations pour lesquelles ce produit n’est pas destiné.
Responsabilité
Petzl n’est pas responsable des conséquences directes, indirectes, accidentelles
ou de tout autre type de dommages survenus ou résultant de l’utilisation de ses
produits.

Der VIZIR-Augenschutz schützt vor dem Einschlag von Partikeln mit hoher
Geschwindigkeit (Stoß mit mittlerer Energie 120 m/s entspr. Typ „B“).
Der VIZIR-Augenschutz ist für alle Helme der Reihe VERTEX Version 2011 und
ALVEO geeignet.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht über seine Grenzen hinaus belastet werden. Es darf
ausschließlich zu dem Zweck verwendet werden, für den es entworfen wurde (z.B.
elektrische Gefährdung und/oder Spritzer aus schmelzflüssigem Metall).
Anbringen der Schutzscheibe
Benutzen Sie an den Helmen VERTEX Version 2011 und ALVEO die für diesen Zweck
vorgesehenen Befestigungsmöglichkeiten.
Bohren Sie keine Löcher in Ihren Helm.
Befestigen Sie zuerst eine Seite der Schutzscheibe und dann die andere. Verwenden
Sie die mit der Schutzscheibe gelieferten Befestigungsschrauben.

Informationen bezüglich der Normen
- Warnung, bei empfindlichen Personen kann das Material, wenn es mit der Haut des
Anwenders in Berührung kommt, allergische Reaktionen auslösen.
- Achtung, tauschen Sie den Augenschutz aus, wenn er verkratzt oder beschädigt
ist.
- Achtung, mit hoher Geschwindigkeit auf den Augenschutz aufprallende Partikel
können für Anwender, die eine Brille mit herkömmlichen Bügeln tragen, eine Gefahr
bedeuten.
- Bei extremen Temperaturen schützt der Gesichtsschutz nicht vor dem Einschlag
von Partikeln mit hoher Geschwindigkeit. Um sich bei extremen Temperaturen vor
dem Einschlag von Partikeln mit hoher Aufprallgeschwindigkeit zu schützen, muss
der Anwender einen mit dem Buchstaben T (z.B. FT, BT oder AT) gekennzeichneten
Augenschutz benutzen.
Reinigung, Desinfektion
Durch das Reinigen des VIZIR-Augenschutzes mit Wasser kann die Schutzschicht
gegen Kratzer und Beschlag beschädigt werden. Reinigen Sie den VIZIR-
Augenschutz mit dem Anti-Beschlag-Kit A13.
Verwenden Sie keine Scheuermittel oder kratzende Schwämme.
Lagerung, Transport
Schieben Sie Ihren Augenschutz über den Helm in die Transportstellung.
Das Produkt an einem trockenen, vor UV-Strahlen und Chemikalien geschützten Ort
bei gemäßigten Temperaturen aufbewahren. Falls nötig reinigen und trocknen Sie es.
Änderungen, Reparaturen
Änderungen und Reparaturen außerhalb der Petzl-Betriebsstätten sind nicht gestattet
(außer Ersatzteile).
Lebensdauer / Aussondern von Ausrüstung
Die maximale Lebensdauer von Kunststoff- und Textilprodukten der Firma Petzl
beträgt 10 Jahre ab dem Herstellungsdatum. Für Metallprodukte ist sie unbegrenzt.
ACHTUNG, außergewöhnliche Umstände können die Aussonderung eines Produkts
nach einer einmaligen Anwendung erforderlich machen (Art und Intensität der
Benutzung, Anwendungsbereich: aggressive Umgebungen, Meeresklima, scharfe
Kanten, extreme Temperaturen, Chemikalien usw.).
In folgenden Fällen muss ein Produkt ausgesondert werden:
- wenn es mehr als 10 Jahre alt ist (Kunststoff- und Textilprodukte)
- nach einem schweren Sturz (oder Belastung)
- das Überprüfungsergebnis ist nicht zufriedenstellend, das Produkt fällt bei der
Überprüfung durch. Sie bezweifeln seine Zuverlässigkeit
- die vollständige Gebrauchsgeschichte ist nicht bekannt
- das Produkt ist veraltet (Änderung der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen, der
Normen und der technischen Vorschriften, Inkompatibilität mit anderen
Ausrüstungsgegenständen usw.)
Zerstören und entsorgen Sie diese Produkte, um ihren weiteren Gebrauch zu
verhindern.
3 Jahre Garantie
Auf Material- und Fabrikationsfehler. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind: normale
Abnutzung, Oxidation, Änderungen oder Nachbesserungen, unsachgemäße
Lagerung, unsachgemäße Wartung, Nachlässigkeiten und Anwendungen für die das
Produkt nicht bestimmt ist.
Haftung
PETZL ist nicht verantwortlich für jegliche Konsequenzen, direkt, indirekt oder
unfallbedingt, sowie jegliche andere Art von Schäden, die aus der Verwendung seiner
Produkte entstehen.
