After installation, the KA1000 is ready to register its door knock, doorbell, telephone ring-

er, and other accessories in the system. The door knock, telephone ringer and baby room

call will be installed in channel 2 (C2). Other monitoring transmitter will be installed in

channel 1 (C1). The dip switch code of each transmitter will be stored in KA1000 channel

memory indicated by: CX:OX -> MEMORY LOCATION

Registering the door knock with the KA1000:

1. Insert a paper clip into reset hole two times, until the display reads “[C2:01]”

2. Turn on the door knock transmitter KA1000DK and push the test button. Release

the button when the display counter increases to “[C2:02]”. If the display reads

“[C2:FU]” the memory is full, and a new device will not be accepted. If an other

transmitters need to be registered, repeat these steps.

3. After 10 seconds, and there is no more transmitters to be register, the clock will

return to normal time display mode.

LED Display

After the ID of the transmitter is recorded into the memory, the clock will trigger to the

signal sent from this transmitter and display the cause. You can register any transmitter at

any time repeating those steps. Record the description of that transmitter to page 19 of this

book for future reference.

Channel 1 or C1 is used for the Alarm Monitor sensors, do not use it for the door knock,

telephone ringer or Baby room call transmitter of channel 2 or [C2:xx]. Each memory has 3

entries for 3 different kind transmitters. If you have more than one transmitter of one kind,

for example you have 2 door knock transmitters, register for only one.

Change system security code

If your clock encounters interference and repeatedly activates it-

self for no obvious reason maybe there is a system nearby in your

neighborhood triggering the alarm. Change the channel switches

setting on all transmitters and repeat the above steps for the new

setting. (see Figure 6) If your memory is full, unplug the clock and

take the battery out for 5 seconds then repeat the setup procedure.

If the clock is going be used with the Alarm Monitor KA300, take

one transmitter and change to a new operation code then repeat the

setup procedure for both KA1000 and KA300 units.
