Locating the Data Link Connector

The Data Link Connector (DLC) is used with the

Tool to communicate with the vehicle’s control

module.

Note: When using the vehicle diagnostics

cable, power to the tool comes from the

Data Link Connector.

Data Link Connector Location:

Under dashboard on driver side of vehicle.
If the Data Link Connector is not located under the dashboard, a

label should be there telling you where it is located.

Connecting the Tool

Connect the Vehicle Diagnostics Cable to the Tool.

Find the Data Link Connector on the vehicle.

Remove the DLC cover if required.

Connect the Vehicle Diagnostics Cable to the vehicle.
