6.3 Managing Playlists

6.3.1 Description

Although on-line playlists, which means playlists stored on EVS video servers, are show
in the Playlists branch of the Tree view, they cannot be used from the IPD Xedio plugin.
Only off-line playlists can be used with the IPD Xedio plugin.

Playlists can be organized in bins. They must be converted to edit prior to be used in IPD
Xedio plugin.

6.3.2 Possible Actions on Playlists

Playlist Contextual Menu

You can perform the main actions on playlists via the Playlist contextual menu. You will
access it by right-clicking a playlist in the Elements grid.

The following table describes the commands from these contextual menus:

Command

Description

Cut

Cuts the selected playlist.

Only available from the Playlists tab when a Bins tree branch is
selected.

Copy

Copies the selected playlist. A shortcut can then be pasted in a
bin.

Paste

Pastes the copied or cut playlist.

Only available from the Playlists tab when a Bins tree branch is
selected.

Convert to Edit

Converts the playlist to an edit.

See section 6.3.3 ‘Converting a Playlist to Edit’ 49.

Edit/Rename

Opens the Edit a Playlist window in which you can modify the
playlist properties entered when the playlist was created.

Create an off-line
copy

Creates an off-line copy of the selected playlist. This new off-
line playlist has the same content as the playlist selected. It also
has the same name. It has no LSM ID.

Properties

Displays information related to the owner and the groups the
selected playlist has been published to.
