4 Installation
4 .1 System requirements
l Pentium 4 with 3 GHz or higher
l Ar least 1 GB RAM
l At least 3 GB free memory
Information:
These are the minimum requirements for a small WEB-VV system.
Plants with many measurement loops and users require a more
powerful hardware configuration.
l Microsoft Windows 2003 Server R2 Standard Edition
l Microsoft SQL-Server 2005 (incl. Reporting Services). Several
product versions are available (Enterprise, Standard, Workgroup,
Express), the selection depends on the size of the total system
and the performance requirements.
l Microsoft Internet Information Services (with ASP extension)
l Microsoft Message Queuing
l Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
l Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX
Information:
On the installation CD you will find the "Installation and admin-
istrator instructions". Here you can find further information on the
system requirements.
4 .2 Installation
Note:
For installation and setup; comprehensive knowledge of server-based
software is required. Setup can therefore be carried out only by
qualified IT personel. The installation can be carried out either via the
setup program on the CD or manually. On the installation CD you will
find the "Installation and administrator instructions". Here you can
find further information on installation and setup.
