Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device

be taken to a specialized company for recycling.

device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact
your dealer.

General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.

• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user

modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the

warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

Operation

Opening the safe for the first time
• Remove the battery cover [D] by sliding it to the right and locate the keyhole.

• Insert the override key and turn it counter clockwise.

• Turn the rotary knob [A] clockwise and pull to open the safe.

Note: DO NOT keep the override key(s) inside the safe!
Installing/replacing batteries
• The safe requires 4x AA batteries (type R06); alkaline batteries are recommended.

• Slide the battery cover [D] to the right to open.

• Insert 4 new 1.5V type AA batteries (R06), following the polarity markings inside the

battery compartment.

• The status of the electronic lock is verified, and when everything is working, the display

[E] indicates ‘GOOD’.

• Slide the battery cover [D] back in place.

Note: at any time, test the batteries by pressing START [C]. If the batteries are low, the

display will show “Lo-BAE” and batteries should be replaced at once.

WARNING:
Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might explode.
Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Keep batteries away from children.


Opening the safe after battery installation
• Press START [C]. The display will show “- - - - - - - -”.

• Enter one of the two preset codes: “0000” being the user code, “8888” being the master

code. Confirm by pressing START [C].

• The green LED [F] lights up and the display shows ‘OPEN’.

• Turn and pull the rotary knob [A] to open the door within 4 seconds.
