Preparing the equipment for use

Placing the starter grip in the rope eyelet
Release the engine brake by pushing the motor
release bracket (1) towards the mower handle.
Slowly pull the starter handle and rest the starter
grip (5) in the rope eyelet (4) on the upper part of
the handle.
7.2 Height adjustment of the handle
In order to allow different sized people back-
friendly mowing, the inclination and thus the height
of the handle is adjustable.
When adjusting the handle inclination, take
care not to jam, bend or damage the
Bowden cable (17)!
Procedure for adjusting the handle inclination
Loosen both butterfly
nuts (a) of the clamping
device. Move the
handle to the desired
position within the
clamping blocks and
make sure that both
lower parts of the
handle are on the same
height in of the three
possible positions and
fit completely in the
clamping block
recesses. Re-tighten
both butterfly nuts.
7.3 Grass catching device
Stop the engine prior to installing or
removing the grass catching device.
(Stopping the engine: See chap. 8.2)
The ejection shield (7) is designed for your
personal safety. The ejection shield must be
permanently closed when using the lawn mower
without grass catching device (6).
Procedure for assembling the grass catching
device (6)
Place the grass catcher frame over the plastic tray
of the grass catcher bag and pull the attachment
flaps of the grass catcher bag in the order  -  -
 -  -  over the frame.
Place the grass catcher cover (c) onto the frame
and hook both plastic angles (d) of the crass
catcher cover tightly around the frame.
Insert the fastening screw (e) completely through
the bore in the crossbrace (f) of the frame.
Turn the screw (e) into the bore (g) of the cover (c)
to attach the cover to the frame.
Procedure for fitting the grass catching device (6)
to the lawn mower
Open the ejection
shield (7) of the lawn
mower.
Lift the assembled
grass catching device
by the handle and place
it under the ejection
shield of the lawn
mower.
