2. If removing more than one switch, bundle and label the Ethernet cables from each switch
separately. The cables must be associated with the switch from which they were removed. It
is not necessary to identify individual cables with switch ports.
3. Disconnect the Ethernet cables from switch to be removed. Do not disconnect the opposite
ends of cables.
4. If the green grounding wire is fastened to the compartment wall, remove the mounting bolt
from the wall.
5. Remove four mounting bolts, flat washers, and lock washers that fasten the mounting plate
to the compartment wall. Do not allow any of the wires to support the weight of the
mounting plate after it has been removed from the wall.
6. On the rear of the mounting plate, remove the four screws and lock washers from the switch
to be replaced.
