4.6 Removing the 8-port switch from the mounting bracket
1. Remove both 24-port switches from the mounting bracket without disconnecting the control
power or Ethernet cables to either switch.
2. Loosen the two screws on the green power plug(s) and remove the plug(s) from the socket(s)
in the 8-port switch housing. Do not remove the wires from the plugs. When disconnected,
the Ethernet switch power indicator light should not illuminate.

3. Disconnect all Ethernet cables from switch to be replaced. Do not disconnect the opposite
ends of the cables.
4. Disconnect the green grounding cable between the bracket and the compartment wall by
removing the bolt from the wall.
5. Remove the 6 mounting bolts, flat washers, and lock washers from the switch mounting
bracket.
6. On the rear of the mounting bracket, remove the four screws and lock washers from the
8-port switch.
