Tools Clicking Engineering Tools in the screen links list provides access to the
following system engineering tools:
• Reserve/Recharge Calculator
• Cable Sizing Tool
Reserve &
Recharge Time
Calculator If opened from a System Display screen, that system’s prediction data is
shown on the left half of the screen, while the right half can be used to
make changes to any of these parameters for establishing “What If?”
scenarios (see Figure 3-15). If opened from the screen links, typical
system default values (column 2) are used.

Note that this tool does not take into account battery aging within its
prediction algorithm.
The Reserve & Recharge Time Calculator can solve for hours of
reserve, total effective reserve in amp-hours, hours to 95% recharge of
the batteries and rectifier recharge factor. Enter new values for office
temperature, end cell voltage, plant load, rectifier capacity or battery
strings and hit enter to update the calculations. Calculations are
