Enable or disable the verbose mode via this

command. For

X22

:

0 = clear/none, default for T

elnet connections;

responses are not echoed to the host

1 = verbose mode is on, default for RS-232

host control; r

esponses are echoed to the

host and displayed to the user

2 = send tagged r

esponses for queries

3 = verbose mode is on and tagged

responses are sent for queries.

If tagged responses ar

e enabled, all r

The controller can send out unsolicited information (such as notice of a volume or input change or a change in some other setti

ng). That is called a verbose (wordy) r

elationship

between the controller and a connected device. For a dir

ect RS-232 connection, the controller is set for verbose mode by defau

lt. When connected via Ethernet, verbose mode is

disabled (by default) in order to reduce the amount of communication traffic on the network. If you want to use the verbose mo

de with a contr

oller connected via Ethernet, this

mode must be set to “on” each time you reconnect to the contr

oller

.
