2.6 INSTALLING THE SCSI CARD
2.6.1 PC USERS
2.6.1.1 ADAPTEC AVA-1505AE SCSI CARD
Hardware Installation
1. Turn both your scanner and computer off.
2. Plug the SCSI card in an available slot of your computer.
3. Plug one end of the supplied SCSI cable to the SCSI port at
the back of your computer and the other end to the SCSI port
at the back of your scanner.
4. Turn on your scanner.
5. When the scanner is ready, turn on your computer.
Software Installation
Windows 3.1
If your scanner comes with an Adaptec AVA-1505Ae SCSI card,
then the installation of the SCSI card driver will be complete during
the installation of the scanner driver.
Caution: Before you connect or disconnect the SCSI cable, be sure
to turn both your computer and scanner off. Otherwise, unexpected
damage may cause the scanner malfunction and void the warranty.
