Snowmobile Operational Differences

The Snowmobile Plug-In ECU closely mimics the standard OEM operation.
However, MoTeC would like to draw your attention to some operational
differences when a Snowmobile Plug-In ECU is installed.

ECU Operation

The M400 Marine ECU engine control functionality is the same as the
standard factory ECU; all normal operations of the Snowmobile are
possible.

Instrument Cluster Operation

The M400 Marine ECU will control the Ski-Doo Instrument cluster and
mimic the original factory dash operation.

The ECU controls the dash via the STC (Serial to CAN) data adaptor; the
STC receives serial RS232 messages from the ECU, and then transmits
CAN messages to the instrument cluster.

The serial RS232 transmit settings and the CAN custom data set are
provided in the Base Map and should not be changed.

To prevent engine damage the following dash alarms and rev limits are
provided:
