SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS (Continued)

5. Attaching the Adjustable Brackets and Upper Bar,
Tie-Down Brackets and Adjustable Header Mounts

Straddle each cross frame member of the Header Transport
Main Frame (1) with one Upper Bar Adjustable Bracket (31)
as shown. Be sure to position and align all Adjustable
Brackets at the far right end of the cross frame as necessary.

Secure each Upper Bar Adjustable Bracket (31) to the cross
frame member using the 7/8” x 5-1/2” grade 5 bolts (36) and
7/8” Handle Nuts (35) provided. IMPORTANT: Before
operating the transport, be sure the clamping handle is
extended upward for maximum ground clearance during
transport.

Place the Adjustable Header Mounts (42)
and Tie-Down Bracket Assemblies (39) on
the outside left tube of the Header Transport
Main Frame as shown. Position one
Adjustable Header Mount (42) and Tie-Down
Bracket Assembly (39) on each side of the
center cross member. Secure the
Adjustable Header Mount to the outside
tube using one 7/8” x 5-1/2” Grade 5 Bolt
(36) and 7/8” Handle Nut (35). IMPORTANT:
Before operating the transport, be sure the
clamping handle is extended upward for
maximum ground clearance during
transport.

Secure the Tie-Down Bracket Complete (39) to the outside tube using two 1/2” x 5” Bolts (50) and two 1/2”
Lock Nuts (5). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE 1/2” BOLTS ON THE TOP OF THE ASSEMBLY, BUT ALLOW
THE TIE-DOWN BRACKETS TO MOVE FREELY ALONG THE OUTER TUBE.

Position the Upper Bar (2) on the three Upper Bar Adjustable Brackets (31) so the front end of the bar is located
adjacent to the front axle as necessary. Secure the Upper Bar at each Upper Bar Mount using the Upper Bar
Clamp (28), two 1/2” Washers (73) and two 1/2” Lock Nuts (5). The angle of the Upper Bar can be adjusted by
removing and repositioning the 5/8” x 6” Hitch Pins (32) in the Upper Bar Adjustable Brackets.

4. Mounting the Front Axle Assembly

Mount two wheel and tires (16)(18) to the hubs on
the Ball Hitch Tongue and Axle Assembly (3). Use a
star pattern to secure the wheel rim to the hub and
tighten to SAE specifications. Once both wheels
are secured to the front axle, raise the spring loaded
pin on the Header Transport Main Frame (1) and
engage the ball hitch on the Front Axle Assembly.
Once the ball hitch has engaged the locking tube,
lower the spring loaded pin into the hole located on
the Front Axle Assembly to ensure the assembly
from unlatching during transport.

Secure the Front Fenders (19)(20) using four 3/8” x
1” Flange Bolts (21), four 3/8” rubber/metal washers
(81) and four 3/8” Flange Nuts (82).
