1. Feed the carriage bolt and large spacer thru slots on bottom of frame rails using the pull wires, as shown Figure 2.
Note: May need to insert the carriage bolt in on an angle. Leave the pull wires in position to assist in locating bolt when the hitch is placed in

position.

2. Remove existing M12 bolts. (Do Not clean the threads)
3. Raise hitch into position as shown in Figure 1. Feeding the pull wires through the rearward holes on the bracket. Locate the driver’s side

bracket in position first near the forward exhaust hanger. If necessary to get the passengers side into position, loosen the exhaust hanger on
the passenger’s side this will allow the exhaust bracket move side to side.

4. Re-install the M12 bolts and washers remove in Step 2. Be careful not to cross thread the bolt and existing weldnut.
Note: If necessary clean the first few threads only to start the bolts.
5. Remove pull wires and install conical washer and hex nut on 1/2” fasteners. Be careful not to push the carriage bolt back into the frame.
6. Tighten all fasteners to called-out torque specification
7. Re-tighten the exhaust hanger on the passenger side if loosened in Step 3.

Tighten all M12X1.50 CL 10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M)

Tighten all 1/2-13 GR 5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to

prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working

beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
