Cooling operation

Air which is directed into the front box area can be cooled by the cooling unit, when

the motor is running. It must be noted that only a constant cooling performance can

be achieved when the cooling unit is switched on. The amount of cooled air that is

sent into the front box area can be adjusted with the front box blower levels.

Additionally, the temperature of the air which is blown in can be variably controlled

through counter heating with the heat exchanger (corresponding operation of the set

point regulator).

When the windshield is steamed up because of high humidity, it can also be quickly

cleared by switching the cooling unit on. At the same time, a suitable level of counter

heating should be used, and the air should be directed towards the windshield, using

the left knob.

Defrosting

The setting, Defrost of the set point regulator is responsible for clearing steam and

ice from the windshield. The maximum temperature will be automatically set, the air

will be directed to the windshield, and the front box blower will be switched on - the

blower level will depend upon the current operational mode of the passenger bus

(with Ignition off: blower off; with Ignition on and motor off: blower level 1; with

Ignition on and motor on: blower level 3).
