Corrosion
Resistant Check
Valve

Above Ground Filter Installation

Brush sealant on one
threaded end of nipple.

Screw nipple into the filter
return.

Brush sealant on threads of one
(either) bushing and open
threads of nipple. Screw Sparco
Cycler on to nipple counter
clockwise until upright and
secure.

Tighten turning
1 to 2 revolutions with wrench.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Attach return section of hose
to the adapter with clamp and
tighten with screwdriver.

TOOLS NEEDED

Screwdriver

Installing a corrosion resistant
check valve is recommended.

1 1/2" Flex Hose
(provided with filter)

Pipe Wrench

Two 2” threaded by
1-1/2” threaded
bushings

Following pipe thread sealant
directions, brush sealant on filter
threads.

Screw a bushing
into each port of
Sparco Cycler and hand
tighten.

Completely tighten turning 1
to 2 revolutions with wrench.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

DO NOT USE TAPE

as the
threads on
these units
are not suitable
for this use and leaking
or bushing failure could
result.

Brush sealant on female
threads of other bushing and
threaded end of hose adapter.
