Stopping the transmitter
There are two ways to stop a Badger ORION transmitter from sending meter readings:
Pause and Stop. When a transmitter is paused, it will automatically begin sending meter
readings once there is flow through the meter. When a transmitter is stopped, the only
way you can resume its sending of meter readings is to give the transmitter a Start
command.
To set a Badger ORION transmitter to the paused state, first perform a Read function,
and then follow it with a Pause function. As an example, let’s perform the Pause function
for the Badger ORION Transmitter number 70368339 (for a water meter). If you
perform the Read function followed by a Pause function, you will see a screen like this.
To set a Badger ORION transmitter to the Stopped state, first perform a Read function,
and then follow it with a Stop function. If you perform those two functions, you will see
a screen like this.
