Gateway Reading
Gateway Setup
The Gateway Setup function allows you to enter information that describes gateways that have automatically reported to
READCENTER. Gateways that have reported are listed on the left side of the screen.
Automatic Information
NOTE: The information automatically fills in these fields.

Gateway #: The serial number of the gateway when a status message has reported.
• Version: The firmware version of the gateway when a status message has reported.
• Last Status: Each time the gateway sends a status message, the date is automatically modified here.
• Type: The type of communication in use. (LAN/GPRS/Wi-Fi)
• Mode: The communication mode in use. (Open/Positive/Negative)
Optional Information
• Description: Any alphanumeric text to associate with the gateway.
• Location: Any alphanumeric text, perhaps the address or street intersection where the gateway is located.
• Latitude/Longitude: Geo-code information to use for future mapping reports.
• Region: Information that groups gateways for identification purposes. This may be used for future reporting.
• Install Date: The date the gateway was installed and put in use.
• Active: For information purposes. A checked box does not affect GALAXY gateway functions.
• Notes: Area to keep any notes related to the selected gateway.
Tool Bar
• Assignment: Read-only data typically used by Technical Support to view gateway reads. Refer to "Using the
Tool Bars" on page 53 for more information about the tool bar.
