GALAXY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Feature

Benefit

GALAXY® transmitters* are powerful yet small units.

Size allows mounting in numerous locations both indoor

and outdoor.

GALAXY transmitters are fully enclosed in an

epoxy-based encapsulant.

This design is completely applicable for locations where

submerging conditions occur.

GALAXY transmitters are available factory-programmed

and pre-wired to RTR® (Recordall) and ADE® (Absolute

Digital Encoder) registers.

Installation is quick and easy, with no on-site wiring or

programming required.

The GALAXY system operates in the 450-470 MHz

frequency band.

Use of a FCC-licensed frequency provides protection

against interference in order to maintain system

performance.

Gateway Receivers communicate though LAN, Cellular

or Wi-Fi.

Expanded flexibility in obtaining data.

GALAXY brings meter data directly to the utility office

over a fixed network.

Expenses and liabilities associated with sending meter

readers into the field are eliminated.

The GALAXY fixed network system is designed to

broadcast daily reads from GALAXY-equipped water

meters in the utility’s system.

Meter data can be used to improve utility customer service

by eliminating estimated reads and aiding in resolution of

billing disputes.

READCENTER® GALAXY module software is available in

single or multi-user platforms.

The software can be used at a single user station and is

purchased up to 5 users at a time.

READCENTER GALAXY module software offers numerous

reporting tools.

Gateway Reading Reports offer exception data such as

Tamper, Leak and No Read as well as other useful reports

such as Usage and History.

*Transmitter is also referred to as "Module."
