Choose a Program

To choose a program to drop

1. In the catalogs field, double-Click On the name of the catalog that

contains the program. The programs in the selected catalog and some
its attributes are displayed in the Program Attributes pane.

2. Choose the program to drop by clicking on the name of the program. A

delete marker appears in the row header of the selected program.

3. Repeat step 2 to select additional programs.

Drop the Program

To drop the programs selected, click on one of the following:

Execute. Executes the command immediately.

Show. Displays the SQL commands created by dba/m Database
Manager without executing them.

Queue. Queues the command to be submitted in a batch later.

Compiling a Program

Two compilation environments are available: one for programs compiled
using dba/m Database Manager, and another for programs compiled
outside of dba/m Database Manager.

dba/m Database Manager collects data on SQL statements embedded in
programs only if you compile them using the Program Compile window.
You must use the queue and batch facility of dba/m Database Manager to
execute the compilation. If you do not compile the programs using this
process, you cannot display the results of the compilation using dba/m
Database Manager.

To display the Compile Old Program window, click on Programs in the
Main window, then click on Compile Old. The Compile Old Program
window is displayed, as shown in Figure 17-4.
